Applications invited for Summer Research Internship at RCB

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of national importance,
created by an Act of Parliament, established by Government of India through the
Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the auspices of UNESCO. RCB has emerged
as a pioneering institute for research in Biotechnology and is defining new horizons in
providing world-class education, training and research at the interface of multiple
disciplines for the benefit of mankind.

RCB has a strong commitment to exploring new frontiers, furthering science and
connecting revolutionary areas of Biotechnology through cutting-edge research. The
Centre boasts of the state-of-the-art research laboratories at par with the global
standards. Its Advanced Technology Platform Centre (ATPC) is a highly sophisticated
instrumentation facility comprising of high throughput technology platforms such as
Genomics, Proteomics, Mass Spectrometry, Microscopy platforms including Electron
Microscopy and Super Resolution Confocal Microscopy, Molecular Interaction, and the
Animal Experimentation Platforms. RCB is also establishing a Bio-incubator in
association with BIRAC that links promising research outcomes to commercialization
by nurturing technology development in the broad area of biopharmaceuticals.
The scientists at the Centre work at the interface of multiple disciplines in the areas
related (but not limited) to structural systems, synthetic and chemical biology,
virology, plant biotechnology, molecular medicine, analysis of complex diseases, drug

Applications are invited from postgraduate and undergraduate students in their final
year for Summer Research Internship at RCB from 15 May to 01 July 2025.
Interested students may mail their application mentioning area of interest and
attaching their resume along with a write up on what motivates them for a career in
research and their tentative research idea (750words) to
rcb_summerintern@rcb.res.in by 25 April 2025.
