Hike in scholarship for CSIR ( Rs.31000 JRF, Rs. 34000 SRF ),

Science is no longer insulated from market demands and no longer do scientists remain confined to ivory towers engaged in esoteric pursuits. Warren Buffet, Bill Gets, S. Bhatia, S. As Business Week has concluded, ‘unlike China, India's significant cheap labour is not a pool of factory workers, but a huge crop of scientists. With India emerging as a global hub for commercial R&D, the Higher Education has gained greater importance (India Today International, 3 Oct 2005).
